About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Virginia Mason Franciscan Health during initial phone contact with patients, providing appointment scheduling, information, and operational support services.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service, consistent with our organization's mission, goals, and service standards.
  • Utilize scheduling parameters, insurance concepts, and patient registration software to efficiently schedule appointments and answer questions.
  • Handle emergent calls, demonstrate basic telephone skills, and excel in a team-based environment with a positive attitude.
Requirements
  • 6 months of experience in office, call center, customer service, or healthcare.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of scheduling parameters, insurance concepts, and patient registration software.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
