CAD Designer

Our manufacturing facility and Quality Assurance Programs deliver a controlled approach to each project and ensure the highest level of quality and service for our customers.

We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our Engineering Department in Altamont, NY.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing products, working with a design team, and using computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings.

The ideal candidate will have excellent mechanical and technical skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Design products such as engines, machines, instruments, controls, or robots.
• Work with a design team to create design sketches, layouts, and plans.
• Use CAD software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product.
• Produce specifications for products and choose raw materials and components to be used in production.
• Build models and prototypes of the product and test the design.
• Study the test data and make comparisons with similar designs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
• Ability to be flexible, motivated, resourceful and organized in a multi-functional role.
• Solid communication, organization and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects at varying stages of completion simultaneously.
• Prior experience interfacing with a quality management system, ISO9001, NQA-1, etc. a plus.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost estimating.
• Design Software: Inventor proficiency required.
