About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic team, providing top-notch patient care and contributing to the advancement of neurology services in our region. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and experiences.
Responsibilities
As a Neurology APP, you will be responsible for providing consultations and patient care, improving follow-up availability, efficiency, and quality care. You will perform functions based on professional judgment, discussion with the physician, knowledge of physician preference, and written policies of the institution. Your expertise will be invaluable in managing patient care in the outpatient setting, including comprehensive history and physical examinations, ordering of appropriate lab and radiographic studies, interpretation of lab and x-ray results, performing local injections, managing medications, making treatment decisions, and determining appropriate follow-up.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies, respectively. You must be board certified and maintain continuous certification related to CNP or PA training. Experience in neurology is preferred, but not required. You will also need to possess exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to thrive in a busy clinical environment. Familiarity with Cerner EMR is a plus.
