Job Title: Senior ETL Developer

At Unreal Gigs, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL Developer to join our team of data-driven innovators. As a key member of our ETL development team, you'll play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our cutting-edge ETL solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ETL Solution Design: Design and implement ETL solutions to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems, ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency.
  • ETL Development: Develop and maintain ETL processes using ETL tools and programming languages, ensuring efficient data movement and transformation across different platforms and environments.
  • Data Integration: Integrate data from disparate sources, including databases, APIs, flat files, and streaming data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
  • Data Transformation: Transform and cleanse data to meet business requirements and enable analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies to improve system throughput and reliability.
  • Automation and Orchestration: Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline ETL workflows, reduce manual intervention, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Error Handling and Monitoring: Implement error handling mechanisms and monitoring solutions to track ETL job status and data quality issues, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize data loss and downtime.
  • Documentation and Best Practices: Document ETL designs, processes, and best practices, providing clear and comprehensive documentation to facilitate understanding and collaboration among team members.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to understand requirements and deliver ETL solutions that meet business needs.
  • Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor junior developers, sharing expertise and best practices in ETL development, and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions within the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL development, with a focus on designing, building, and optimizing ETL solutions.
  • Proficiency in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS, and programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
  • Strong understanding of data integration concepts and techniques, with experience integrating data from diverse sources and systems.
  • Experience with data transformation, cleansing, and enrichment processes, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with the ability to troubleshoot complex ETL issues and optimize system performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
