Position Summary:

The Information Resource Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled contractor to develop, manage, and enhance its Java-based Online Claiming application while transitioning from legacy systems. The following responsibilities outline the core functions expected from the consultant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide, mentor, and provide innovative solutions for development and support tasks.
  • Execute integrations with established frameworks, tools, and supplementary technologies.
  • Collaborate with technical teams for server configurations and access permissions.
  • Engage with vendors to ensure the optimal performance of the Online Claiming application.
  • Conduct research and prototype effective business solutions.
  • Document technical specifications and assist in analyzing system requirements.
  • Develop, test, and implement solutions adhering to best practices and Java standards.
  • Perform comprehensive testing of functionalities, including integration with other systems.
  • Create and update reports related to the Online Claiming application.
  • Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to internal personnel.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java web application development and maintenance.
  • Extensive experience in analyzing project requirements and designing Java web applications.
  • Expertise in Apache Wicket, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Hibernate ORM, and web services development.
  • Familiarity with IBM DB2 databases and system integration.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities for complex application challenges.
  • Experience in deploying and maintaining Java-based applications.
