About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Duty Caregiver to join our team at Homestead Home Health Care Services. As a Private Duty Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including transferring, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and walking.
  • Evaluate changes in client health and confer with other healthcare team members as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including light housekeeping.
  • Use and clean medical devices, such as catheters, colostomy bags, and oxygen supplies.
  • Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor.
  • Develop and implement meaningful life enrichment activities.
  • Follow schedule and assist clients with repositioning.
  • Transport clients to medical appointments or shopping.
  • Complete all required documents and charting.
  • Plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious meals.
  • Provide companionship for clients.
  • Follow all Homestead policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of caregiving experience.
  • Experience passing medications.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Valid Driver License/Insurance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Travel Max of 25 miles.
  • Weekend Availability.
