Job Summary

Apple is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team responsible for shipping Apple Intelligence features. As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, and execute test plans and cases for Apple Intelligence Features and their underlying technologies, including the AppIntents framework and related frameworks, across all Apple platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain internal AppIntents testing tools and apps.
  • Author AppIntents test cases and maintain continuous integration infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with AppIntents engineers on API development and provide implementation feedback.
  • Debug AppIntents discovery, query, and execution issues from both app developer and Apple Intelligence perspectives.
Requirements
  • 5 or more years of professional experience in Software Development.
  • Proficient in Swift or Obj-C and multi-platform App development.
  • Proven problem-solving and debugging skills, including analyzing and investigating test failures, errors, and build issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of test automation using XCTest with Swift/Obj-C.
  • Apple Connect code signing and provisioning profile management.
  • Framework development.
  • Proficient in one or more scripting languages, such as Python or Ruby.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of machine learning.
Compensation and Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

You'll also receive benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
