Job Summary

As a key member of the King's Daughters healthcare team, the MRI Technologist plays a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of MRI procedures and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient orders and medical history prior to examination
  • Screen patients and medical personnel for MRI safety compatibility
  • Operate MRI systems, surface coils, and other equipment to achieve desired results
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and provide hard copy records
  • Maintain archival storage of digitized data
  • Perform diagnostic testing on equipment and report malfunctions
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited J.R.C. Radiologic Technologist program or equivalent
  • Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Advanced ARRT certification in MR
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Working Environment

The MRI Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment with constant exposure to blood and/or body fluids and infection. The noise level is moderate, and the physical demands of the job include frequent walking and moving about, as well as occasional lifting and moving of items up to 100 pounds.
