The ideal candidate will act as a vital support resource for the primary assistant property underwriter as required. It is essential to uphold underwriting performance benchmarks concerning quality and processing efficiency to deliver exceptional customer service for accounts managed by the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee workflow to avert processing discrepancies related to service timelines.
  • Review all documentation for accuracy in grammar, spelling, and adherence to technical standards.
  • Collaborate with external clients, underwriters, and various departments to investigate and resolve specific account challenges.
  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with members and/or brokerage firms representing the organization.
  • Ensure timely collection of premiums.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in property underwriting and knowledge of energy accounts.
  • An undergraduate degree; a degree in a business-related field is advantageous.
  • Professional insurance designation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with insurance terminology, concepts, products, and coverages; prior experience in an insurance company or brokerage environment is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of technical rating software and underwriting operating systems.
