Job Title: Carpenter Journeyman

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a skilled Carpenter Journeyman to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Carpenter Journeyman to work on our industrial construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with experience in reading blueprints, selecting materials, and assembling structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and sketches to plan and execute construction projects.
  • Select and prepare building materials according to project specifications and dimensions.
  • Plan and execute the installation of structures, avoiding obstructions and ensuring safety.
  • Mark and cut materials using various tools and equipment.
  • Assemble and fasten materials together using nails or screws.
  • Verify the trueness of structures using a plumb bob and carpenter's level.
  • Erect shoring and install plywood decking.
  • Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
  • Unload materials, tools, and equipment, and assist in lifting and positioning materials during installation.
  • Clean tools and equipment, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Work at heights, climb vertical ladders, and traverse uneven terrain with tools and materials.
Requirements:
  • 48 months of industrial construction experience.
  • Ability to safely operate power tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of proper use of fall protection equipment.
  • Ability to climb rebar walls and cages.
