Position Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Albany, NY

Employment Type: Full-Time, Academic Year

Overview: Soliant is looking for a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team. The SLP will be responsible for delivering thorough assessments and therapeutic interventions for students experiencing speech and language challenges, fostering their academic and social achievements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language impairments. Create and execute personalized treatment strategies based on evaluation outcomes.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy to address various communication disorders, including articulation, language acquisition, fluency, and voice disorders.
  • IEP Collaboration: Partner with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design and oversee Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to each student's unique requirements.
  • Monitoring Progress: Keep precise and current records of student progress, therapy sessions, and evaluation results. Prepare thorough documentation for IEP discussions and other necessary reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with teachers, school personnel, and families to incorporate speech and language objectives into the educational curriculum and daily activities.
  • Guidance & Resources: Offer support and materials to families and educators to enhance students' communication skills both at home and in the classroom.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current New York State license in Speech-Language Pathology. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a school environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities. Capacity to work effectively within a team and manage a diverse caseload.
