Housekeeping Specialist

The primary objective of the Housekeeping Assistant position at Cantex Continuing Care Network is to perform scheduled housekeeping tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor. This role may involve mopping, sweeping, dusting, washing windows, shampooing and vacuuming carpets, arranging furniture, and generally cleaning furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware.
Key Responsibilities:- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas on a daily basis and in accordance with Facility protocols.
- Equipment Operation: Use proper chemicals in proper portions, and may dust mop, wet mop, or spot-mop floors.
- Waste Management: Empty trash containers, replace liners as appropriate, and dispose of trash in proper receptacles.
- Carpet Maintenance: Vacuum carpets as directed by Supervisor.
- Window Cleaning: Utilize proper chemicals and equipment to wash and dry windows.
- Reporting and Requesting: Report repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate, and request needed supplies and equipment from Supervisor.
- Safety and Compliance: Identify and correct safety hazards, abide by safety rules, and have reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and know the employee's responsibility to enforce it.
- Training and Development: Attend weekly in-services, understand, and comply with Patient Care Management Systems.
- Patient Safety: Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
