Pharmacy Manager Local Specialty Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Manager Local Specialty to lead our pharmacy department and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring excellent customer service, and developing strategies to improve sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the pharmacy department, including supervising staff, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales account managers and strategic account managers, to drive business growth and deepen relationships with health systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of inventory for limited distribution drugs and maintain required records and documentation.
- Comply with all federal and state laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, related to controlled substances and pharmacy operations.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with physicians and other health professionals, and recommend community and professional relations programs to enhance the pharmacy's reputation and business opportunities.
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree from an accredited educational institute.
- Current pharmacist license in the states within the district (or willing to obtain in 1 year) per district guidelines.
- At least 1 year pharmacy experience, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
- Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
- Has completed specialized training regarding medication and disease state or has sufficient practical experience necessary to provide specialized services offered at clinic location (HIV, Organ Transplant, Oncology, etc.).
- Supervisory experience planning, organizing, and directing the work of pharmacy staff, preferably at a local specialty pharmacy.
- Overall score of Exceeds Expectations for the most recent performance review period and an overall score of Achieving Expectations for the earliest review period.
- At least 6 months pharmacy experience with Walgreen Co.
