The Advanced Equipment Systems Division (AES) operates within the broader Air Liquide Electronics (ALE) framework, focusing on delivering specialized solutions for chemical and specialty gas management equipment. Our team comprises skilled professionals, including chemical and mechanical engineers, electrical and controls engineers, programmers, manufacturing technicians, and field service engineers. Our core competencies encompass all aspects of process molecule delivery: equipment design, material compatibility, safety standards, component selection, controls design and integration, flow and pressure optimization, installation, start-up, and comprehensive project management.
Your Role and Contributions
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be stationed at our Semiconductor client locations, providing service for our Chemical, Slurry, or Gas distribution systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing your technical knowledge and skills to support a variety of product lines, including specialty gases and chemicals.
- Demonstrating proficiency in various technical processes or procedures through extensive job-related training and experience.
- Completing diverse assignments that may be atypical in nature.
- Operating within established technical processes and methodologies, contributing to the development of new approaches for unique tasks.
- Installing and maintaining equipment requiring intermediate to advanced technical skills, including commissioning, testing, retrofitting, and troubleshooting chemical delivery systems.
- Debugging software and control systems.
- Collecting and analyzing data to diagnose maintenance issues.
- Identifying technical challenges and implementing solutions within your capability, escalating complex issues as necessary.
- Collaborating with both internal and external customers to address and resolve issues.
- Completing tasks efficiently to minimize downtime and financial impact for both the customer and AES.
- Analyzing repair methods and planning to reduce disruptions to customer operations.
- Understanding and operating auxiliary equipment, including particle counters, flow meters, sampling systems, and analytical devices.
- Engaging in problem-solving that requires sound judgment and technical skills, along with strong customer relations abilities.
- Being sensitive to customer needs and future business opportunities.
- Providing customer feedback to internal teams to enhance understanding of client requirements.
- Assisting in the training of customer personnel.
- Performing additional duties as required to support internal and external customer needs.
- Working with minimal supervision, with oversight primarily on complex new tasks.
- Serving as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues.
Are You the Right Fit?
- Associate Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience from a related industry or military service.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with controls technology, including debugging and software installation.
- Proficient in using mathematical and computer skills for data analysis.
- Knowledge of standard business and technical software relevant to our equipment.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools, with a solid understanding of safe work practices.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to see and hear effectively.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
- Experience working in clean-room environments.
- Ability to wear a respirator as required.
- Exhibit strong work habits, including organization, punctuality, reliability, and respect for others.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $30.00 to $35.00.
