This position is hybrid, requiring employees to work on-site a few days each week.
Your Role:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and developing automation for product coverage and enhancing test infrastructure across various operating systems, including Windows, OSX, and Linux. You will write tests that span the entire stack, from platform to client UI, and become proficient in our testing platforms while working to extend their capabilities.
This role emphasizes collaboration, as you will partner with feature teams and scrum teams to make informed decisions regarding the balance of unit-level, integration, and end-to-end automation, as well as business scenario testing.
Your Impact:
In this role, you will:
- Define and drive test strategy as we transition to continuous integration and deployment.
- Design user scenarios, including business case scenarios and equivalence class partitioning for test cases.
- Oversee code and design reviews for features developed by your scrum team.
- Advocate for customer enhancements and their success.
- Establish architectural principles, frameworks, and standards.
- Provide leadership to engineers, quality engineers, and product partners.
- Conduct research and develop prototypes on innovative technologies.
- Lead all aspects of software architecture within assigned systems.
- Analyze and provide feedback on product strategy.
- Collaborate with other architects and technology leaders to shape the architectural vision and roadmap.
- Communicate effectively to motivate and engage all levels of staff.
- Mentor team members informally to enhance their understanding of architecture and support their technical development.
Required Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A relevant technical degree.
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, quality assurance, usability, or business analysis.
- Proficiency in Java or a similar object-oriented programming language.
- Knowledge of Webdriver/Selenium, JavaScript, and Python is highly desirable.
- Experience with developer tools such as Git, Maven/Gradle, and IDEs like Eclipse/IntelliJ.
- Experience in user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ability to write test plans, test cases, and track bugs effectively.
- Proficiency in functional automation (UI/API).
- Familiarity with industry quality and usability standards.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly and coordinate cross-team efforts.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- A solid understanding of relational databases and SQL is a plus.
- Technical experience with AI models and LLM models is preferred.
