Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Behavioral Health care team at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. As a PMHNP, you will provide high-quality psychiatric services to our inpatient population, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily direct patient care on the Adult Inpatient unit, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Cover other services when census is low, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in weekend rounding, providing continuity of care and support to our patients.
  • Take first call 1 in 8 nights/weekends, demonstrating your commitment to our patients' needs.
  • Potential for support of PHP/IOP as those services grow, expanding your impact on our community.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health.
  • PMHNP certification.
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a PMHNP in Maine.
  • Unrestricted DEA registration.
  • State-issued Controlled Substance Registration (CSR).
  • Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP).
  • No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of direct patient care experience in psychiatric disorders.
