Position: Network and Cloud Engineer

Organization: People Incorporated Mental Health Services

People Incorporated Mental Health Services is looking for a Network and Cloud Engineer to enhance our IT Infrastructure division. This full-time role involves the design, implementation, and management of both new and existing cloud environments and network systems. The selected candidate will also assist fellow IT personnel with intricate inquiries, provide training, and address departmental ticket requests.

Work Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5pm

Compensation: $76,744 - $83,560, based on qualifications

Bonus: $1,000 for external candidates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a physical presence in the greater Twin Cities, Minnesota area.
  • Oversee network systems planning, installation, security, monitoring, change management, and access controls (including routers, switches, firewalls, and WAPs).
  • Develop and manage Azure DevOps projects, pipelines, and releases to automate infrastructure deployment.
  • Implement security protocols (firewalls, access controls, encryption) to protect network infrastructure.
  • Lead the transition from MPLS to modern architectures such as SASE or SD-WAN.
  • Monitor and address Microsoft 365 security alerts and incidents through the Microsoft 365 Security Center.
  • Remote work opportunities may be available.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Pass the screening mandated by the Federal Human Services Office of Inspector General.
  • Successfully complete a Criminal Background Check.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record and insurance, if applicable.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate of Arts degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent combined with five years of IT experience.
  • Experience with WatchGuard or other Next-Gen Firewall support.
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN or similar WAN configurations.
  • Azure cloud certification.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in supporting network hardware and software.
  • Must maintain a physical presence in the greater Twin Cities, Minnesota area.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Two years of experience with Microsoft 365 security and administration.
  • Preference for candidates with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Preference for candidates with recognized certifications in Network and Cloud engineering, such as CCNA, CompTIA Cloud+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
