Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Tidelands Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing x-rays for diagnostic purposes, ensuring patient care and safety, and maintaining accurate documentation of patient medical records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for examinations, educating them on the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Provide excellent patient care and effective communication, essential for the performance of various procedures.
  • Document patient medical records, including medical history, and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Position patients to demonstrate desired anatomy and pathology, using technical parameters to achieve optimal results.
  • Assume responsibility for patient safety, mental and physical comfort, and ensure a positive experience.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technology Associates degree program or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of Rad Tech experience preferred.
  • ARRT(R) certified or eligible, with certification required within one year of employment.
  • South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association certified.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Physical Requirements:

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will frequently stand, sit, and walk, occasionally use hands and fingers, and frequently talk or hear. The employee must exert 20 to 35 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
