About the Job

This part-time teaching position is responsible for University of Minnesota course instruction in Applied Business courses (ABUS) contracted by Undergraduate Applied and Professional Studies (uAPS) in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching (primarily online) and making course curriculum updates
  • Supporting program initiatives and participating in professional development
  • Course development as needed
Requirements
  • Demonstrated skill and commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Bachelor's degree in a field closely related to the course(s) of instruction
  • Ten or more years of professional experience in a field/knowledge area directly related to the course(s) of instruction
  • One year of teaching or corporate training experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a field closely related to the course(s) of instruction
  • Teaching experience in higher education
  • Leadership experience in a business organization
Desired Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or terminal degree in a field closely related to the course(s) of instruction or in adult higher education
  • Teaching experience in higher education at the undergraduate level including online courses
  • Demonstrated understanding of pedagogy that blends theoretical concepts and professional applications
