Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team at Soliant. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping elementary students improve their communication skills and will have a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Therapy: Assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic services for students with speech and language disorders.
  • IEP Development: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
  • Direct Therapy and Support: Provide direct therapy and support to students in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students' communication needs and goals.
  • Professional Development: Conduct workshops and provide resources for teachers and parents on strategies to support speech and language development.
  • Team Participation: Participate in team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Tennessee.
  • Certification: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with elementary-aged students is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Regulations: Familiarity with relevant state and federal regulations regarding special education and speech-language pathology.
Clearances:
  • Background Checks: Must pass state and federal background checks, including Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) Criminal Background Check, FBI Criminal Background Check, and Child Abuse History Clearance.
