As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Nursing Assistant is responsible for delivering essential nursing support and assisting with more intricate patient care tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Minimum Qualifications for Certified Nursing Assistant- Possession of a valid nurse aide certification in Pennsylvania.
- Completion of high school or equivalent education.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Experience of at least two months as a nurse aide.
- Basic understanding of personal computing and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
- Completion of high school or equivalent education.
Completion of at least one of the following:
- Current enrollment or completion of a professional or practical nursing program or other health-related educational program, including a minimum of three months of direct patient care experience in an educational clinical setting.
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician training program in Pennsylvania.
- A minimum of three months of experience in a clinical environment providing direct patient care.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Current eligibility for nurse aide certification in Pennsylvania.
