Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry team at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Our hospital is a 370-bed facility that offers a wide range of services, including heart and cancer care, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, sleep disorder evaluation, and emergency care. Responsibilities
  • Assess patient conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse Texas State License or Compact State License required.
  • 1-2 years of Medical Telemetry or Med Surgical Ortho/PCU acute care nursing hospital experience.
