Anesthesiology Expert

Job Summary

The Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time General Anesthesiologist faculty member in the Barnes West County Division. This position involves a mix of solo-performing and supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in a tight-knit group of medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality anesthesiology services to patients in various settings, including operating rooms, endoscopy suites, and interventional radiology.
• Supervise and mentor CRNAs to ensure excellent patient care and adherence to medical staff policies.
• Participate in the development and implementation of anesthesiology services and programs to enhance patient outcomes and departmental excellence.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and contribute to the academic and research missions of the department.

Requirements

• Board certification in anesthesiology or eligibility for certification.
• Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Missouri.
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges and maintain compliance with medical staff policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in regional anesthesia and acute pain management.
• Facility with electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
• Interest in academic and research pursuits, including participation in departmental and institutional initiatives.
