Job Description

At TEPHRA, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify the accuracy of journal vouchers and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
  • Process and summarize financial transactions, preparing income and balance sheet statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for shareholders, policy owners, regulatory authorities, and management.
  • Work with internal and external sources to ensure proper reporting of financial data.
  • Identify, research, and recommend solutions to areas of concern in relation to accounting information.
  • Develop non-standard reports and statements, preparing information for use by higher authorities.
  • Participate on project teams or lead project teams.
  • Review and analyze budget to actual variances and related operation reporting for Division managers.
  • Assist with the preparation of the divisional budget.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, with degree.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting area preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, handle multiple projects, and take on new projects.
  • Work effectively individually and within a team, organizational and prioritization skills, effective judgment.
