Reporting Structure: Reports to the Assistant Facility Manager/Recreation Superintendent
Position Summary
Under the guidance of the Assistant Facility Manager/Recreation Superintendent, the Facility Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Notify the Assistant Facility Manager/Recreation Superintendent regarding any necessary repairs or supply needs.
- Conduct inspections of all areas, equipment, and supplies to identify potential hazards or safety issues.
- Keep accurate records, reports, and checklists as required.
- Perform regular walkthroughs every 30 minutes to ensure cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Address any spills, odors, or litter promptly.
- Oversee open gym activities.
- Implement emergency procedures as necessary.
- Follow established protocols for opening and closing the facility.
- Prepare and dismantle rooms for events and activities.
- Ensure the exterior of the building is clean and well-maintained.
- Clear and treat walkways during snowy or icy conditions.
- Assist with special events as directed by the Facility Manager.
Work Schedule
Availability may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Supervisory Duties
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
The primary work area is indoors, maintained as a smoke-free environment with controlled temperature and fluorescent lighting. Employees may encounter noise from adjacent work areas and may be required to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
Employees in this role are regularly required to stand, sit, walk, and use hands for various tasks. They must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have completed some high school coursework.
Additional Requirements
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. CPR Certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire is required.
