Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our Maternity and Pediatric Unit at Henry Community Health. As a Nurse on our team, you will provide high-quality patient care to women and children, working collaboratively with our board-certified OB/GYN physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver general nursing care to patients from the prenatal period through adolescence, serving the nursing care needs of families as well.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatment following approved nursing procedures and physician order.
  • Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify supervisor or physician of conditions and significant incidents.
  • Prepare equipment and aids physician during treatment and examinations of patients.
  • Assess patient vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determines patient progress.
  • Have daily responsibility in areas of personnel assignments, supervises licensed and non-licensed personnel, patient placement, cost containment, patient and family education and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of pathophysiology, the nursing process, nursing interventions, pharmacology, methods utilized for delivering nursing care and the management of patients and personnel.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current Indiana RN licensure required.
  • Ability to interpret fetal monitor rhythms and complete newborn assessments.
  • 2 years of OB experience is preferred.
  • Nursery/Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification is preferred, or must be willing to complete.
  • BLS certification preferred.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • PALS certification preferred.
