Job Description for Regional Financial Controller

Watercrest Senior Living Group is a leader in senior living services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Regional Financial Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the accounting function for multiple entities and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains and manages financial records, accounts, and ledgers for multiple entities.
  2. Prepares supporting schedules for financial statement preparations.
  3. Conducts month-end and year-end closing processes for multiple entities.
  4. Prepares journal entries.
  5. Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations.
  6. Prepares monthly financial statements.
  7. Maintains and audits balance sheet schedules.
  8. Assists with AP/AR processing cycles.
  9. Provides support to business office associates at communities.
  10. Assists with year-end audits and tax returns.
  11. Oversees development projects workflow.
  12. Reviews job costs for budget variances.
  13. Runs various reports and performs budget tracking.
  14. Handles A/P related duties for Development projects (i.e., Code and obtain approval of invoices).
  15. Submits monthly funding packages to lenders and equity partners.
  16. Generates weekly/monthly Project Reports as needed.
  17. Maintains vendor contracts.
  18. Coordinates with development team for permitting, insurance, bond issuance, etc.
  19. Provides support for special projects as assigned by management.
  20. Assists with 1099 processing.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Able to work independently and with a team with accuracy.
  • Sound organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Multiple Locations a plus.
  • Must be skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
  • Must be skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets and formulas.
