**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Technician to join our team in Newport News, VA. As a key member of our Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assistance Team (CEMAT), you will provide technical support to ships' forces and conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and systems onboard U.S. Navy nuclear powered aircraft carriers.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Provide technical support as required to ships force for the assessment, fault isolation, repair, and final adjustment of specific items of Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assistance Team (CEMAT) systems and equipment
  • Conduct functional checks and operational tests of those systems onboard ship
  • Perform on board US Naval vessels located at Newport News Shipbuilding
  • Support shall include repair support by JSNs, On the Job Training (OJT), logistics support/review/validations, material condition assessments and quality assurance
  • Update and maintain configuration and availability report database systems
  • Develop or update on board training and curriculum and conduct instruction to Sailors onboard U.S. Naval Aircraft Carriers
