Job Overview
Solar field technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of solar energy systems. At QE Solar, we are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as solar field maintenance technicians.

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. As a solar field maintenance technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues with solar energy systems, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have 0-2+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry, preferably with solar projects or BESS systems. Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and current NFPA-70e requirements is essential. Inverter and/or BESS manufacturers' certifications are a plus. Thermography certifications (Level 1) and IT/networking skills are also desirable.

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities
As a solar field maintenance technician, your responsibilities will include:
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues with solar energy systems
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as equipment testing and inspection
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and JHA completion
  • Preparing service tickets and reports for site visits and emergency repairs

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • High School or Technical School Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 0-2+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry, preferably with solar projects or BESS systems
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and current NFPA-70e requirements
