Veterinary Support Specialist

Job Description:- Assist Veterinarians in Appointments and Surgery
You will be responsible for providing technical assistance during appointments and surgeries, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in this role.
- Perform Technical Duties
As a Veterinary Support Specialist, you will be performing various technical duties such as venipuncture, proper restraint, radiographic positioning, filling medications, and anesthetic monitoring. You must be comfortable working with animals and able to handle high-pressure situations.
- Provide Client Education
Your excellent communication skills will enable you to educate clients on pet care, medical procedures, and preventive care for pets. You must be well-versed in animal behavior and able to provide guidance to clients on how to care for their pets.
- Create Medical Treatment Plans
Working closely with our veterinarians, you will help develop and communicate medical treatment plans to clients. Your ability to think critically and problem-solve will be valuable assets in this role.
Requirements:- Caring and Compassionate Individuals
We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals who possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Your ability to handle a fast-paced environment and multitask will be essential in this role.
- High Level of Interest in Customer Service
A high level of interest in customer service is necessary to ensure that our clients receive exceptional care and support. You must be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Meet Physical Demands
You must be able to meet the physical demands of working in a veterinary hospital, including standing, squatting, walking, lifting, and carrying 40 pounds unassisted.
- Work Environment
You will be working around substances such as animal saliva, blood, urine, fecal material, vomit, etc. Comfortable working with all breeds, temperaments, and sizes of dogs and cats is a must.
- Experience
A minimum of one year experience working in a veterinary hospital environment is required.
