Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our Med Surg Float Pool team. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are ever the same. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans of care, and participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

Estimated Salary: $43.50 per hourKey Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Develops and implements individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring that patient needs are met and goals are achieved.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participates in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advances in critical care nursing.
  • Contributes to a culture of safety and quality within the organization by reporting near misses and adverse events, and participating in root cause analyses and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a degree in Nursing (RN).
  • Previous experience in acute care nursing, preferably in a critical care setting.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in critical care nursing, including knowledge and skills in areas such as hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and pharmacological interventions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a med surg float pool or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures, particularly those related to critical care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
