About the Role:

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to play a vital role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic success of our students.

As a School Psychologist, you will collaborate with educators, families, and community partners to provide comprehensive psychological services that promote student well-being and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct individual psycho-educational assessments to identify learning strengths and weaknesses, emotional and behavioral concerns, and potential disabilities.
  • Develop and Implement Support Plans: Develop and implement individual interventions and support plans to address identified needs.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Consult with teachers and staff to develop strategies for differentiated instruction and classroom management.
  • Crisis Intervention and Support: Provide crisis intervention and support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary teams, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 meetings.
  • School-Wide Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives to promote positive school climate and mental health.

Requirements:

  • Virginia School Psychologist License
  • Master's degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and assessment practices
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to cultural competency and providing services in an inclusive and ethical manner
