We are seeking an experienced Geriatric Care Professional to join our team at Vista Springs Living. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating engaging daily activities that meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of our residents.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year.

About the Role

This is a part-time/full-time position that requires working days and hours that may vary day-to-day. Little travel is required, and the role involves working in a team player environment with multiple responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and implement quality activities for residents, including assisting with resident special events, outings, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
  2. Create and maintain relationships with residents and their families.
  3. Prepare activity calendars and update activity/orientation boards.
  4. Work with volunteers and actively seek new volunteers.
  5. Encourage and motivate resident participation.
  6. Maintain accurate recordkeeping.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Prior work experience in the activity/recreation field in geriatric care.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with residents, staff, customers on a one-on-one basis or in a group setting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
