About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is an important part of the manufacturing department and reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
This position will be responsible for the overall mechanical, electrical, robotic, and preventative maintenance of the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair and adjustments
- Ability to safely work with voltages: 12V single phase to 460V three phase
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair PLC/Robotics issues
- Knowledge of Siemen PLC Software
- Preventative maintenance and lubrication practices
- Ability to troubleshoot gearboxes, motors, servo motors, servo drives, proximity and photo eyes, power supplies, bearings, linear rails, chains, sprockets, seals, and power transmission drives/components
- Work from mechanical drawings, specifications and manuals
- Ability to source/procure equipment parts as needed
- Ability to fabricate needed fixturing, or manage outsourcing when needed
- Experience serving on maintenance teams, EHS improvements, project management / Safety Team Participation / Kaizen Events
- Experience in robot integration, automation and robot preventive maintenance
- Follow all safety requirements and processes of the manufacturing facility
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, work with minimal supervision and work as a team player
Requirements
- Associates degree in Electromechanical or Mechatronics preferred
- Minimum 5-8 years experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Problem solving skills utilizing disciplined methods and critical thinking
- Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work under pressure while balancing multiple priorities
- Experience in Six Sigma or Lean preferred
- Integrity, reliability, responsibility, and accountability
- Travel requirements up to 10%
