Job Overview

Primary Objective: To ensure designated outdoor areas are maintained in a clean and secure manner. Responsible for the upkeep of plant life to promote optimal health and visual appeal. Provide assistance with landscaping and construction tasks as required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular inspections of assigned locations to remove litter and ensure safety for visitors and staff.
  2. Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of plant beds and natural landscape zones.
  3. Water plants as necessary to support their growth.
  4. Monitor irrigation systems consistently, addressing any issues or reporting them to the supervisor.
  5. Assist with planting, trimming, fertilizing, and other specialized horticultural tasks under supervision.
  6. Support ongoing construction projects as needed, following guidance.
  7. Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Supervision: No direct reports.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Landscape Supervisor and Landscape Manager.

Essential Qualifications:

Self-motivated individual capable of working independently. Basic understanding of horticulture and turf management is preferred. Familiarity with landscape construction principles is beneficial. Ability to comprehend product labels, written plans, and verbal directions. Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with guests in a courteous and informative manner. Collaborative team player.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

50% of the time spent standing.

10% of the time spent sitting.

20% of the time spent walking.

20% of the time spent kneeling or bending.

Good hearing and manual dexterity required.

Capability to work in various weather conditions.

Must be able to operate a golf cart or utility vehicle.
