Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Compliance Specialist to join our team at North Central Health Care. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies, including HIPAA, civil rights laws, and risk management regulations.

In this position, you will serve as the organization's HIPAA Privacy Officer, Civil Rights Officer, and Risk Management Oversight Lead. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining privacy policies and procedures, conducting privacy risk assessments, and investigating breaches or complaints involving protected health information (PHI).

You will also oversee risk management programs to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks to the organization. This includes conducting regular risk assessments, developing strategies to minimize liability, and collaborating with clinical, operational, and administrative teams to ensure risk management practices are integrated into daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare compliance, risk management, and quality assurance. They will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to approach all necessary parties about quality issues with tact and diplomacy.

The estimated annual compensation range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000, with full-time benefits including PTO, paid holidays, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective compliance and quality assurance programs
  • Serve as the Chair on the Compliance Committee
  • Oversee risk management programs to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks to the organization
  • Conduct regular audits, investigations, and risk assessments to identify and address non-compliance or opportunities for improvement

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with a major field of study in clinical health care, Health Services Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Legal or related field
  • Master's degree in business administration or public administration preferred
  • At least five years of progressive healthcare or government experience
