Position Overview

We are partnering with an exceptional school district in Dover, DE to fill a contract Special Education Teacher position for the 2024-2025 school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with students in elementary, middle, and high school settings, providing individualized support and instruction to help them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction and support to students with special needs in a variety of settings
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a Special Education Teacher within the last 3 years
  • Valid Special Education Teacher credential/license or in process in the state of practice
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
