Salary: 65,000 to 88,000 depending on experience

We are seeking a dedicated Production Engineering Specialist to enhance and streamline processes within a build-to-order manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive process innovation and modifications for New Product Introduction (NPI) and ongoing enhancements across various operations including machining, welding, assembly, testing, and packaging.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to facilitate mixed model production.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at lean manufacturing improvements in designated areas.
  • Configure new manufactured components and modify existing entries in the ERP system, focusing on Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ), Routings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and other critical manufacturing data.
  • Collaborate with the Materials Manager to determine optimal lot sizes, setup types, and potential suppliers.
  • Work alongside the Production Planner to analyze outplant costs, establish routings, and assess lead times.
  • Engage with production teams to identify best practices and available tooling.
  • Conduct follow-ups and audits on routing times to verify accuracy.
  • Perform time studies to uncover improvement opportunities and validate standards.
  • Assist the Quality department in formulating inspection plans and tracking methodologies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Six Sigma and Lean training are highly preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
