Job Summary

The Housekeeper is a vital member of our housekeeping team, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in all areas of our community, including resident rooms, public restrooms, offices, common areas, and exterior spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks in accordance with established procedures and as assigned by supervision.
  • Follow established safety protocols when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents and resident representatives.
  • Observe residents for significant changes and adverse reactions or conditions, and submit information for resident records.
  • Keep the Maintenance Director informed of any unusual incidents or issues.
  • Prepare for shifts by reviewing information and reports.
  • Clean and maintain public areas, including floors, carpets, and furnishings.
  • Clean and prepare resident rooms, including stripping and remaking beds, vacuuming, and disinfecting.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables.
  • Assist with setting up dining and activity areas.
  • Report any needed repairs to the Maintenance Director.
  • Keep housekeeping equipment and storage areas clean and organized.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior housekeeping experience required.
  • Experience working with seniors and cognitively impaired individuals preferred.
  • Approved background check, physical, and TB skin test required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
