Psychologist PD

The Staff Psychologist will play a key role in implementing the behavioral science-psychosocial medicine portion of our ACGME-fully accredited, three-year graduate medical education curriculum in family medicine. This position requires direct psychosocial precepting of family medicine residents in live patient encounters, providing monthly didactics, and delivering high-quality behavioral health services to patients using evidence-based, person-centered practice interventions as needed.

• Direct psychosocial precepting of family medicine residents in live patient encounters
• Provide monthly didactics
• Deliver high-quality behavioral health services to patients using evidence-based, person-centered practice interventions
• Participate in faculty development education and scholarly activity
• Mentor a resident performance improvement project, interview applicants, and conduct surveys as needed

• Doctoral degree in applied psychology
• License-eligible in New York State
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Speaks, reads, and writes English
• Experience or internship working in behavioral health or related area

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
• Ability to travel to other locations for off-site interventions
• Risks involved with working with mentally ill individuals
