Discovery Clubhouse is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to nurture, educate, and inspire the young learners at our facility. In this role, you will employ a range of teaching techniques, including creative arts, interactive play, and storytelling, to help children recognize shapes, colors, numbers, and letters, while also equipping them with essential life skills for their future educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing a curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of students.
- Fostering self-expression through understanding, adaptability, and positive reinforcement.
- Exemplifying appropriate behaviors for children to emulate.
- Encouraging positive social interactions and behaviors among children.
- Establishing trusting relationships with each child.
- Documenting daily activities in our management system for parental insight.
- Maintaining open communication with parents throughout the day as needed.
- Participating in parent and staff meetings.
- Customizing the program to meet the unique needs of individual children or groups.
- Assisting with potty training and diapering as required.
Qualifications:
- Compliance with annual professional development requirements as per state regulations.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential is recommended.
- A caring, patient, and nurturing individual with a passion for teaching young children.
- Strong customer service skills for effective communication with parents.
- CPR/First Aid and Food Handlers certifications (can be obtained post-hire).

- Adherence to all licensing and quality standards.
- Instruction of foundational skills such as color, shape, number, and letter recognition.
- Planning and executing educational programs.
- Supporting children in developing positive self-images and achieving success.

- Utilizing positive redirection and reinforcement techniques.
- Observing and documenting each child's health, skills, behavior, growth, and development.
- Maximizing children's developmental, intellectual, and social achievements through engaging activities.
- Providing leadership and support to fellow staff members.
- Creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment that fosters responsibility and motivation.
- Aligning with the core values of Discovery Clubhouse.
- Flexibility to adapt to classroom changes as needed.
- Performing any additional duties as assigned by management.
Applicants must be able to successfully complete a background check upon hire.
