Position Overview

The Licensed Substance Use Therapist is responsible for the coordination and virtual facilitation of group therapy and psycho-educational sessions, as well as individual and family therapy for adolescent clients and their families facing primary substance use challenges. This role operates in a hybrid model, requiring on-site presence one day per week.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Starting at $30.00 per hour, with potential adjustments based on relevant experience, up to $34.20 per hour. Annualized salary ranges from $62,000 to $71,136.00.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treatment plans for adolescents.
  • Manage a caseload of 15 clients, organizing and facilitating IOP programming, including group therapy, psycho-education, and individual and family therapy sessions.
  • Conduct recruitment, training, and supervision of IOP Peer Engagement Specialists.
  • Engage in outreach efforts to promote IOP services and assist in screening referrals for eligibility.
  • Perform psycho-social assessments and initiate treatment plans upon client admission to IOP services.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to conduct three group sessions weekly.
  • Provide weekly individual therapy sessions and bi-weekly family therapy sessions for each IOP client.
  • Document all client assessments and progress notes in the electronic health record within 24 hours, adhering to relevant standards.
  • Maintain an organized weekly client schedule in the electronic health record.
  • Complete daily attendance and billing sheets for each client after every IOP session.
  • Review treatment plans weekly and communicate progress updates to clients' guardians.
  • Coordinate with outpatient providers and other specialists to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide assessment and therapy coverage for residential treatment facilities as required.
  • Develop individual safety plans based on clinical assessments as necessary.
  • Ensure proper discharge planning and documentation, completing discharge summaries within five days of service termination.
  • Coordinate urine drug screenings for clients when clinically indicated.
  • Adhere to mandated reporting procedures and maintain compliance with IMPOWER policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, supervision sessions, and other required program meetings.
  • Submit incident reports as necessary and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Communicate with the Clinical Director regarding any complaints or liability issues.
  • Abide by the ethical standards and policies of IMPOWER, Inc.
  • Complete all required training within designated time frames.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the mission and values of IMPOWER.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work or a related human services field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure in Florida as a LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, or School Psychologist.
  • At least one year of experience in substance abuse counseling; CAP/MCAP eligibility is a plus.
  • Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms.
  • Successful background screenings through relevant law enforcement agencies.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance, with a clean driving record.
  • Negative results from a multi-panel drug screening.
