We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at Memorial Satilla Health. As a key member of our emergency care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, triage, and treatment to patients of all ages presenting for emergency care.
Responsibilities:- Assess and treat patients with emergency and life-threatening conditions
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed
- Coordinate and triage incoming ambulance traffic
- Manage care with primary ED attending
- Learn, understand, and use the Emergency Severity Index 5-level triage algorithm
- Respond to critical needs and serve as a resource nurse for trauma
- Provide education to patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification
- Previous emergency, pre-hospital, or critical care Registered Nurse experience
