We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer/Orthopedic Medical Assistant to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will collaborate with various disciplines to provide high-quality direct and indirect care under the supervision of a Sports Medicine Provider or Orthopedic Surgeon.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate a Culture of Excellence: Participate in maintaining a culture within The Corvallis Clinic that aligns with the Service and Behavioral Standards document.
- Provide Comprehensive Care: Assist in implementing all aspects of healthcare, including prevention, practice/event coverage, injury evaluation, medical appointments, treatment, rehabilitation, and team travel.
- Support Medical Team: Assist MD/DO with patient rooming, history, post-operative care, and education, as well as ordering supplies, splinting, casting, brace fitting, and assisting with injections and patient calls.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
- Licensure: Eligible for Oregon State Licensure.
- Certification: National Athletic Training Association certification.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as an athletic trainer.
- Advanced Education: Master's degree.
- Communication Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues and exchange information between team members.
- Teamwork: Ability to work, function, and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team.
- Medical Knowledge: Knowledge of medical records, procedures, and terminology.
- Cultural Competence: Ability to work with a diverse population and possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others.
