Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $96,000 - $200,000 USD per year. Job Description

We are seeking an experienced RF Data Link Systems Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. As a member of our RF Products department, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-capacity, covert, and agile data links for various tactical missile programs. Your tasks may include:

  • Communications systems design
  • Data link hardware development
  • Algorithm development
  • Digital signal processing

You will work closely with our team to perform concept and performance trade studies, link budget analyses, and demonstrate developed capabilities for data link communication applications. Additionally, you will develop, prototype, and test data link models and communication signal processing algorithms in detailed high-fidelity simulations and support hardware implementation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in programming and/or simulation experience in MATLAB, SIMULINK, C/C++, or equivalent language. You should also have experience with system engineering of RF subsystems, waveform simulations using modulations schemes such as PSK, FSK, OFDM, and QAM, and familiarity with common RF impairments: Phase noise, multipath, and Doppler.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with fixed point algorithm simulations for VHDL verification, wireless fading model simulation, knowledge of Layer 2 and above, and strong technical and interpersonal skills are highly desirable. A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with a focus in digital communications, communications systems design, data link hardware development, waveform algorithm development, and/or digital signal processing is also preferred.
