Key Responsibilities- Guest Services: Provide assistance to guests and visitors with making reservations, check-in and check-out procedures, and offer a customer-friendly lodging environment.
- Phone and In-Person Support: Accept incoming calls and in-person requests for lodging reservations, assist guests with questions and requests, and provide accurate information about our facilities and services.
- Front Desk Operations: Perform check-in and check-out procedures via our electronic hotel management system, post payments, balance receipts, and prepare lodging reports daily.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform kitchen tasks such as preparing and serving items for hotel breakfast, washing dishes, and general cleaning of prep areas, equipment, buffets, and dining areas.
- Attendance and Reliability: Regularly attend work and adhere to assigned schedules, ensuring reliable and consistent service to our guests.
- Adherence to Policies: Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures, including safety requirements and guidelines.
- Technology and Data Entry: Utilize electronic time management systems to input time, attendance, and paid-off requests.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: One year of hotel/motel or guest services experience, phone system experience, customer service skills, cash handling/cashier experience, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Skills: Basic end-user skills in MS Office, keyboarding, and data entry, with experience in hotel management software preferred.
- Certifications and Licenses: Valid Jackson County Food Handler's Permit (training provided).
This position requires working in a fast-paced lodging and conference center environment, with frequent interaction with guests and colleagues. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team-oriented setting, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a safe and inclusive work environment.
