Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will:

  • Develop new user-facing functionalities, encompassing everything from database architecture to RESTful services and user interface components.
  • Take ownership of core features, collaborating closely with Product and Design teams.
  • Simplify complex systems and engage in refactoring to enhance code quality.
  • Contribute to API and database architecture, emphasizing security, scalability, and performance.
  • Implement analytics, monitoring, and alert systems to improve operational responsiveness.
  • Redefine software development processes to facilitate the creation of next-generation healthcare technology products.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience with TypeScript, SQL (Postgres, SQLite), and NoSQL databases.
  • At least 5 years of experience in REST API design, data modeling, and web application development.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with modern frontend frameworks (React or Angular).
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and immutable data.
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies using TypeScript (Jest, Playwright, or similar frameworks).
  • A well-informed perspective on contemporary data stack architecture.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Nuxt, Prisma, Cloudflare Workers, and Tailwind.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration, Monorepos, AWS, and Cloudflare Workers is a plus.
  • Background in Health Tech, particularly on the payer side, is advantageous.

Our Technology Stack

  • REST API utilizing Prisma ORM & Postgres, Kafka (MSK), hosted on AWS with Kubernetes.
  • Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) hosted on Cloudflare with Cloudflare Workers/Pages.
  • Testing frameworks including Jest, Vitest, Playwright, and Cypress.
  • Authentication and authorization using Auth0 and JWT.
  • Collaboration tools such as GitLab, Slack, Notion, Figma, Datadog, AWS Athena, and Jira.
  • A design system featuring a Vue/Tailwind (Unocss) component library.
