Grounds Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Worker II to join our General Services Grounds Department at Fox Run Village by Erickson Senior Living. As a member of our team, you will assist the Maintenance Mechanic and Grounds Supervisor in maintaining all exterior areas, including lawns, trees, gardens, and shrubbery. This is a great opportunity to work in a beautiful 108-acre continuing care retirement community in Novi, Michigan, and be part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain all lawns, trees, gardens, and shrubbery to ensure a visually appealing and well-manicured appearance.
• Upkeep of all exterior areas and parking areas, including trash removal, weeding, pet stations, dog runs, fencing, etc.
• Install and maintain exterior signs to ensure clear visibility and direction for residents and visitors.
• Assist residents with gardening and snow removal of the community as needed.
• Assist with oversight of landscaping and maintenance of all associated equipment.
• Identify Horticultural-related problems and offer recommendations to improve the overall appearance and health of the grounds.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years related experience.
• May be required to attend a Horticulture program at a local college.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• May be required to work a non-standard schedule, including on-call shifts as needed.
