Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Geisinger's ConvenientCare location in Berwick, Pennsylvania. This is a per diem opportunity that offers flexibility and autonomy in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities and Expectations:- Provide exceptional patient care, including preparing patients for visits, collecting and documenting relevant information, and administering medications according to policy and procedure.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
- Support administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments, filing reports, and following up on documentation and billing inquiries.
- Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assist (RMA) certification required.
- Certification by one of the listed governing associations: NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA.
