We are seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Technician II to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Diagnose and repair complex issues with vehicles and equipment, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with drivers, management, and other team members to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Certifications: Annual Inspector Certification, Brake Inspector Certification, and ASE certifications (Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks).
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to mechanical parts, extreme temperatures, and confined spaces. You must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work non-traditional business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
